My CAS Diary
The purpose of this blog is to reflect on the extra-academic program that I have been committed to during my two years at Red Cross Nordic United World College. CAS stands for "Creativity, Action, Service". The IB requires that all students complete 150 hours of CAS in order to receive their diploma. The point of this is to ensure that students receive a well-rounded education that goes far beyond basic classroom learning. I have compiled a list of activities that I will reflect on and will henceforth write diary-style entries about each of my experiences. I have made my CAS diary a blog so as to allow myself to easily share my entries with my Coordinator, the IB moderators, and students who may be working on their own CAS diaries themselves. I hope the blog proves useful and adequate, although I fear it may be quite hard to impart the entirety of my experience and learning here in Norway at a United World College in a short blog. I will, however, try my best.
